A couple of points to make...
1) To all the Marines, Soldiers, Sailors, and Airmen; Job well done, Get home safe, Welcome home, and Thank You for your service. Finally America's "Best and Brightest" are coming home.
2) The combat mission is now (thankfully) over; or will be 8/31, and now we are left with the questions, "What was the point?" Why did they send Me and my friends into dark and dangerous places and change our lives forever? As I look back I don't see a meaning or purpose to the sacrifice. I don't want to call this milestone "pyrrhic", but was "the juice worth the squeeze"?
3) Will we support the State Department now? Foreign aide is always a difficult sale, but will the American people; or (More importantly) American Politicians, throw away the success. Can we get a Clinton style Marshall Plan? We need a strong and stable Iraq as a counterpoint to Iran and Israel (Yeah, I said it).
Again, I say thank you for your service.
