5 VP Picks Who Can Make Palin a Credible Presidential Candidate

Kelly, Kelly, Kelly...

I keep seeing you on MSNBC trying to hold "Meaninful Moderate Middleground" against the "Nattering Naybobs of Negativism". The problem is you are looking for the center between weak and CRAZY.

Stop, please STOP trying to convince anyone that Sarah Palin is a reasonable choice for National Office. She could have her pick of any of the 7 founding fathers as VP and still she wouldn't be a reasonable choice.

Lastly, the opposition to Sarah Palin is (generally) not based on sexism (i.e. Hillary Clinton or Nancy Pelosi). The People who support her are where the sexism (and Racism) is coming from. I oppose her because she has shown no interest in representing anyone but herself. She demonstrates no love for Americans. As I see it She wants to be President because "If the Urban, half american, terrorist sympathizer" can be elected so can she.

p.s.,

The Only thing President Obama can be happy about his term is his level of competition. They all seem to be the Washington Generals.

10 Republican Lies About the Bush Tax Cuts | Crooks and Liars

It never ceases to amaze me how politicians can love the place, but not the people who live there.

Sarah Palin is not the first politician to "Love America, but not love AMERICANS". These pols love the stature and prestige of America, but have no understanding of what it took to get here. They'll say things like "We have the best Judicial System in the world", but want to limit appeals in death sentence cases.

One of my personal favorites is the idea that to complain or protest agsainst America is to be less than patriotic. Does my service in Kosovo, Somalia, and Iraq make me more the patriot than someone protesting the 2 (TWO!!) on going wars? No. No it does not. I am a Marine (Once... Always...) the people who love this country best are the ones who hold it accountable. Who say to it "You are so much better than what you have become". "We have a short history, but it has been distinguished by moments which made the world better". "You are stronger than your force of arms". "We the people of America are better than this, and I object to you doing these things in my name". These are the words of Patriots.

What Mrs. Palin seems to miss is the history of the moment; that 2 black Americans became accepted as just American. 222 years 4 months 28 days ago this country was born of this dream.

Rachel Maddow Clashes With Jon Stewart, Civilly, In Hour's Worth Of Interview Excerpts

I just read Jeremy Scahills article in the Nation and...

Yes Obama is a War Criminal too. If He has continued the torture policy of George Bush then he is a War Criminal too.

It is official, we are now North Korea.

Rachel Maddow Clashes With Jon Stewart, Civilly, In Hour's Worth Of Interview Excerpts

Jon Stewart is correct...

Saying the former President is a WAR CRIMINAL is the end to the conversation...

about whether water boarding is torture (because IT IS).

It is also the BEGINNING to the conversation as to whether we need to follow OUR OWN LAWS and arrest him, try him, convict him, and send him to jail. If we don't have to follow our own laws, then I'm never paying a speeding ticket again, since the laws of the country don't matter.

Sarah Palin: Obama 'Most Pro-Abortion President'

HEY MSM,

Its time to embargo this person. If she is unwilling to put her ideas upto public scrutiny by speaking only with people who will not challenge her, then she should be kept off the airwaves. FOX news isn't mainstream media, it is the propaganda wing of the Republican Party.

My Day At The Rally To Restore Sanity

I watched the rally on cspan. I liked the message.

HOWEVER...

While I want us all to get along...

and play nice...

and come to compromise.

It is exactly that tendency on the side of the left that has driven the country into the ditch. When the conservatives hold to a ridiculously right wing position they are considered principled hard negotiators. When the Progressives present moderate positions (i.e. Health Care Reform) they are continuously admonished by the MSM to be move MORE towards the conservative position.

A perfect example of this is President Obama. He has spent ALL his political capital trying to reach out to the republicans. In his opening months he even went as far to say "The stimulus bill wouldn't be acceptable UNLESS they could get republican support". Health Care was stalled for 3 months trying to water the bill down enough to gain republican support. Wall Street reform has Loopholes big enough to drive Jupiter through, because republicans in the senate would not support it otherwise. Even things like revoking the Bush taxcuts are in doubt because the republicans refuse to move an inch, even though 95% of the people in the country have ALREADY received a taxcut.

So...

As much as I want to move forward together, I propose moving on without them and forcing them to catch up or just letting them fall off the back. Why, Because we spend too much time entertaining silly or stupid ideas.

Elizabeth Warren Under Consideration For Interim CFPB Chief

Mull, Mulls, Mulling...

What the hell is there to mull over?

Pick the obvious choice. The only person everyone believes will be a champion for the people. Of all the available choices Ms. Warren is the one person who scares the abusers.

After 2 months of mulling it over, the Administration finally picks the only real choice. And they're still mulling... They should be campaigning on this, but they're mulling... If your looking for a prime example of republicans being the party of wall street against main street; you couldn't pick better than Ms. Warren. While the President mulls...

President Obama is a true "Profile in Courage", JFK would be proud.

Obama Economic Team Considering New Stimulus Heavy On Tax Breaks For Business

What happened to the days when you asked someone "what do you do for a living?" they would say "I make x or fix x" now it seems like everyone "Makes money doing x".

Its a minor grammatical change, but I think it signals something bigger and more profound.

Man are you wrong.

A basic example of Keynesian economics"

Did I say put the exact same road there? No I said every road needs work. You know the roads that all those workers will travel to work. How much wasted productivity is wasted fixing flats caused by potholes?

New Sewer Systems would reduce if not eliminate the flooding problems we have in America. Also we have a serious problem with waste removal. The way we do it currently is destroying the environment.

As for bridges how much would the steel manufacturers make? Not even mentioning the steel workers.

Leed certified schools would reduce the cost of green building materials across America. Solar Panels, S.I.P.s, Wind turbines, Triple pane glass, and no v.o.c. paints are expensive. They would all be price reduced by economy of scale.

Moreover all those people working would pay taxes and buy stuff.

Not to mention that crime would probably go down

Well, I can think of a couple of silver weapons of mass development.

like

INFRASTRUCTURE, duh.

Not just a couple of roads, but damn near every road in America.

What about our sewage and water systems?

How about that smart grid?

How about high speed (1Gb/s) wired internet being the baseline in America?

How about 5g wireless internet across America?

If we have overcrowded schools, how about we build new leed platinum schools across the country?

We need new bridges to don't we?

How about a High speed rail system to cross from sea to shining sea?

A dike system like Holland for wetlands also comes to mind

this just comes of the top of my head. instead of all these worthless tax breaks, how about they let people see their tax dollars at work”

Building Shared Cultural and Spiritual Spaces: Lessons in the Mosque Debate

No,

its WHITE Christians who are in danger of becoming a Minority, Most people of color in america are Christians as well.

And

These WHITE CHRISTIANS don't like "Liberation Theology" never mind that the ENTIRE BIBLE is the story of an OPPRESSED PEOPLE. From Egypt to Rome the people in the bible were always in service to someone else.

And

These same people know that their White entitlement is about to disappear. When That Black guy won the presidency they "knew" He couldn't be American, they've been keeping their collective foot on the neck of American blacks.

Lets call a spade a spade.

3 Reps Under Further Investigation Over Alleged Bribery Tied To Financial Reform Votes

This is why we need public financing of ALL campaigns?

ALL through individual voter donations not exceeding $25. Most importantly candidates can only take money from their direct constituents. In a country of +310 MILLION people that would equal more than $5 Billion for presidential elections.

No PAC, No Union, and No Corporate money. All those groups can endorse or provide get out the vote efforts for whomever they want; but if they do, they have to name all their donors and CLEARLY state who is making that endorsement. Oh yeah, make breaking these VERY basic rules a FELONY for all the executives.

Last U.S. Combat Brigade Pulls Out Of Iraq

A couple of points to make...

1) To all the Marines, Soldiers, Sailors, and Airmen; Job well done, Get home safe, Welcome home, and Thank You for your service. Finally America's "Best and Brightest" are coming home.

2) The combat mission is now (thankfully) over; or will be 8/31, and now we are left with the questions, "What was the point?" Why did they send Me and my friends into dark and dangerous places and change our lives forever? As I look back I don't see a meaning or purpose to the sacrifice. I don't want to call this milestone "pyrrhic", but was "the juice worth the squeeze"?

3) Will we support the State Department now? Foreign aide is always a difficult sale, but will the American people; or (More importantly) American Politicians, throw away the success. Can we get a Clinton style Marshall Plan? We need a strong and stable Iraq as a counterpoint to Iran and Israel (Yeah, I said it).

Again, I say thank you for your service.

Chris Matthews Slams Arizona State Rep: 'BS Artist' (VIDEO)

Isn't it time to start calling the people who want immigration reform without employer sanctions and a counterfeit-proof i.d. what they are?

Slavers.

Thats all this is. Its a new spin on SLAVERY. They want to keep the workers in fear and without protection. The funny part is they're using the same argument to rationalize what in effect is slavery. STATES RIGHTS, yes, the same states rights that lead us to civil war.

Why slavery?

1) "Undocumented Workers" are here to work. Usually extremely difficult physical labor for insignificant wages. Well below federal minimum wage. No "American would work for that $ amount.

2) Employers hire these people specifically because they have no legal protection and can get cheap labor. They can be forced to work 60 hours for for $150 ($2.50 per hour).

3) The Arizona law would keep these people from turning to law enforcement for protection. If you knew going to the police would get you arrested and deported would you?

There are 3 parts to any solution:

1)HUGE Employer Sanctions $100,000 per undocumented worker

2)A counterfeit-proof I.d. for guest workers and a simple verification process.

3)A pathway to citizenship. A person who has been a good neighbor for more than 10 years should not be treated as if they're not worthy of citizenship. I'd argue this is exactly the type of person who should be an American. So the system mustn't be overly onerous.

Lets end the New Slave trade.
